Good news for the boot fans, we can continue wearing them into spring both with jeans and full-length gypsy swirl skirts. Once spring/summer really kicks in the wedge takes control. Summer 2004 gave us a nice warm up to the wedge, but 2005 takes it on to another level. This year it has gone supersize with platform soles in cork, rope and rubber. Fans of the wedge love the height it gives without the totter and this season’s are ankle strapped or ribbon-tied. Fold is running though all accessories and shoes aren’t ignored. If you like your sandals low-level there’s a great choice of ethnic flats, but high street or designer, office or Azzedine Alaia – you simply can’t miss the wedge
